In these pieces, Weesapen establishes a new type of futurism, producing his own fables of space and time. Dancing between the playful and transcendent, he employs the sci-fi aesthetics of digital illumination yet reaches back to the primordial cosmic rays of deep time. Weesapen’s light becomes a channel for us to travel beyond the confines of terrestrial sight and place.
