Saroot Supasuthivech in Mutual Empathies
Goethe's Institute, Rupert and the World Academy of Arts
Nova Comtemporary is pleased to share the news of Saroot Supasuthivech in Mutual empathies, the collaborative international artist development project by Goethe's Institute, Rupert and the World Academy of Arts.
The programme facilitates artistic positions that meaningfully and playfully address the countless, difficult ecopolitical questions looming for global society.
Artists were nominated by a worldwide panel of experts and evaluated by a jury of Rupert alumni. For 2024/25, the jury selected Saroot Supasuthivech of Bangkok, Thailand, and Vanja Smiljanić of Cologne, Germany.
This first edition consists of a research phase in November, residencies at Rupert in December and January, then residencies and a public event in February at the Academy of the Arts of the World.
Mutual Empathies is a programme by Goethe-Institut, Rupert, and the Academy of the Arts of the World. The 2024/25 edition is possible through the generous support of Goethe-Institut Vilnius. Rupert’s programmes are supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and Tech Zity. ADKDW is funded by the City of Cologne and the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
